Hello to all my wonderful Friends!

Wow! Can you believe it? Thursday marks the three week point of my return from Argentina. Man, does time ever fly by. It has really gotten me thinking: time is such a precious thing. We will never live yesterday again. You're probably thinking, "Du Daniel, that is not profound". Yet, so many times we live without thinking about this reality. We are only given one chance to live a day and to make the most of it. The question that remains is what will we do with it? Will we make the most of it? Will we seize the day and glorify our precious Savior with everything that we have been given? Will our dreams, desires, and talents, which are God born, be used for the fulfillment of the self or even worse never channeled in submission through Jesus for His glory and the furthering of His kingdom? He has made you who you are for a purpose. You are made in His image and as such carry the responsibility, as a believer, to be an image barer - to reflect Him, so that all may see His glory!

What an awesome reality and responsibility. And yet, it can be so overwhelming at times. We set out to do the things that God has called us to and so many times we get lost in the array of details in life. We loose sight of the prize, which is "Jesus Christ, the hope of glory". We forget that it is Christ which "worketh in you both to will and do of His good pleasure". Oh and yea, don't forget to enjoy Him while you are walking through the process with Him. =)

My friends don't loose heart. We serve and awesome Jesus! He is working in you "all things for good to those who are called according to His purpose". Its all about the process. The process of "conforming you to His image", so that you might be the image barer that you are called to be. Don't try to make yourself one, He is already doing it. It is His responsibility. We must walk in obedience to Him by faith. "As you have therefore received Christ Jesus, so walk ye in Him."

Remember that today is your ministry field. Whether you are mowing the grass, composing music, going to school, or doing your "real job" you bare the image of Christ - people are watching and will ask you of the "hope that lies within you". This is your call, your duty, your purpose, your responsibility. And the prize?... It's Jesus!

My Friend's, when I got off the plan from Argentina my ministry began. This is where the battle began intensify. Where discouragement, loneliness, fatigue, and doubt of hope began to reach around my heart and soul and grab a hold of me; where the enemy began to try and destroy all that Jesus had done during the three weeks of my trip. He knows what a trophy of grace that we are to Jesus, and he will seek as much as he can to destroy that trophy. But don't loose heart. Because you serve the most high King who is sovereign over all and Has promised never to "leave you nor forsake you". He is alive! Know the "power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering being made conformable unto his death". Seize the day that is before you and never look back. Grab hold of Jesus by faith who is the hope of today and tomorrow and "run with patience the race that is set before you". He is the prize! He is the reason we live this life and can go on! He is your motivation for today! He is the reason you got out of bed this morning! So, "go ye and teach all nations...teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world". Amen.

Daniel

Merry Christmas to all my friends and family!!!
Here is a section from John Pipers book "Don't Waste Your Life" that I think will be an encouragement to all and will give you an incredible perspective  this season and in the year to come. Lord bless!

Daniel

"People who are content with the avoidance ethic generally ask the wrong question about behavior? Or this music? Or this game? Or these companions? Or this way of relaxing? Or this investment? Or this restaurant? Or shopping at this store? What's wrong with going to the cabin every weekend? Or having a cabin? This kind of the question will rarely yield a lifestyle that commends Christ as all-satisfying and makes people glad in God. It simply results in a list of don't s. It feeds the avoidance ethic.
The better questions to ask about possible behaviors is: How will this help me treasure Christ more? How will it help me show that I do treasure Christ? How will it help me know Christ or display Christ? The Bible says, "Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31). So the question is mainly positive, not negative. How can I portray God as glorious in this action? How can I enjoy making much of him in this behavior?"

Just thought I would share with you a passage that I have been meditating on the last few weeks (1 Thess. 1:1-4).
Daniel

"Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.

For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

   That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor;

Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:

That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.

For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit."
